In this blog post, I’ll share my entire experience buying chicks from Tractor Supply – from choosing breeds, preparing for their arrival, picking up my baby birds, and getting them settled into their brooder at home.
You can order baby chicks easily online or by mail from established chick hatcheries. They will be shipped in the spring or summer when weather conditions guarantee safe delivery. Chicks can also be purchased from farm-supply stores or from local family farms.
We ordered ours online!! Tractor supply has live chicks on their website. They came straight from Hoovers Hatchery to our post office! All 30 babies were packed well and are going on three weeks old. Skip waiting in the store!! Less stress on the babies too.
