National Orchid Garden. One of the best botanical gardens in Singapore is the National Orchid Garden which spreads over 3 hectares in the Singapore Botanic Gardens. It is Singapore’s first UNESCO world heritage site. The National Orchid Garden boasts over 1,000 types of orchids and more than 2,000 hybrids of more species of orchids.
Located within the Botanic Gardens the National Orchid Garden is simply amazing. Hundreds of orchids on display most in full bloom. Admission is only a dollar for seniors - and admission to the wonderful Botanic Gardens is free.
The National Orchid Garden, located within the Singapore Botanic Gardens, was opened on 20 October 1995 by Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew. [1] The National Orchid Garden is located in the Central Core of the gardens.
The National Orchid Garden is the main attraction within the Botanic Gardens. Located on the mid-western side of the Garden, the hilly three-hectare site has a collection of more than 1,000 species and 2,000 hybrids of orchids.
The Gardens is free entry for everyone and we are open daily 5am to 12mn, even on Public Holidays. Our only ticketed attraction is the National Orchid Garden, where you may purchase tickets at its entrance.
