24 kwi 2004 · On the sixth recovery attempt the Optimate finally managed to break the battery out of deep discharge and then moved into bulk charge mode. The Optimate has been in bulk charge mode for 6 days now. The voltage across the battery terminals is 10.5 volts.

Hi Chaps, my Optimate charges thro the separate Harness ( which comes with the charger) direct to the Battery Terminals. The connection between the Charger Wire and the Harness is via the orrible little white Male/ Female connector. I have cleaned the Pins and Sockets as best I can.
19 mar 2005 · Is the Optimate 3 rated to charge Lead acid and AGM batteries? The Optimate is a battery tender. Unless the battery is discharged below a certain threshold, the Optimate will only maintain voltage within a narrow band.

14 lip 2010 · I've got exactly the same problem with my BMW 1200 GSA and an Optimate III SP. I was going to remove the battery and charge it off the bike to see if the same problem occurred. I did think the alarm could be drawing some power off the battery and causing the warning red light to stay on.
