15 kwi 2015 · I am toying with the idea of a remap, but struggling to come up with any real evidence of what the safe remap level is for this engine (if indeed it's safe to remap at all). Does the 1.6 share the same clutch and turbo components as any of the higher output 2.0 engines?
5 lut 2016 · A remap is good but I would really advise you to remap the DSG for even sharper gear changes, the pedal box for the ultimate response n you'll have a 1.6 that keeps up with so many other pretty powerful cars.
31 mar 2017 · I'm wondering if the 1.6 and the 2.0 share mechanical components such as drive shafts etc, or if they are different between models? Obviously the turbo is different, but Celtic have assured me that engine-wise, the remap is perfectly safe and within the safe limits of the engine's capabilities.
18 mar 2015 · Booked my 2012 1.6TDI in for a remap this Saturday. Standard: 103bhp, 250nm torque. Expectation after map: 146bhp, 313nm torque. Excited to have a bit more power and also should see a slight increase in MPG.
14 lip 2012 · I have booked my 1.6 tdi in at amd essex on the 24th of this month for a remap. they have said should see gains of about 30 bhp and 30-40 lbs of torque. I have used amd before and always found their remaps to be excellent, Will post the results when done.
31 lip 2013 · Hi All, Been toying with the idea of re-mapping my 2012 MK6 1.6 TDI Golf. i'd like to ask if theres anyone out there who has has this carried out, and what there experience of this is. My current model is the 90bhp version.
The Viezu DSG tune is a must if you are going to have a Viezu remap on the engine. Below you can see the final power output graph of the VW GOLF TDI 1.6 105hp, with the DSG tune and Viezu performance tuning. Power is up 35bhp and 44nm of torque.
