Coax from a 2021 node into a Topping D30 Pro had top notch performance for THD+N and SINAD, FWIW. If utilizing the SA20, the digital coax input on the SA20 (equipped with an ESS9038K2M DAC chip) does 192kHz, but the signal is capped at 96kHz if you want to use the optical input on it.

Most TVs support some sort of audio passthrough over ARC and Digital Optical connections, while more TVs are starting to come out with eARC support for lossless Dolby Atmos and DTS:X signals.
Some people will argue over whether changing the usb cable makes a difference, so of course $30 Chromecast Audio versus $3000 streamer is going to set chins wagging. I personally think that the DAC + amp + speakers makes 99.9% of the quality difference.
