7 maj 2024 · To enable DoH on Windows 11, open Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi and manually configure the “DNS server assignment” setting. To check DoH configuration, open Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi, and check the “IPv4 DNS servers” address, which should include an Encrypted label.
A goal of the method is to increase user privacy and security by preventing eavesdropping and manipulation of DNS data by man-in-the-middle attacks [1] by using the HTTPS protocol to encrypt the data between the DoH client and the DoH-based DNS resolver. [2]
