Today we are happy to announce that OpenIV is back in development and release of OpenIV 4.1. The development of OpenIV was halted in the summer of 2021 due to team creative burnout. We are now trying to resume development. As a first step, we decided to release OpenIV 4.1 with the features that were already finished.

Today we are happy to announce the release of OpenIV 4.0.1, the minor release with focus on better games support and stability. Since this is a minor release without new features, we do not have new video for you today. With this release, we are starting to rollout our new install and update system. Here are the improvements from this first step:

OpenIV is a multi-purpose editor and archive manager for RAGE engine-based games such as GTA V, GTA IV/EFLC and Max Payne 3, developed by OpenIV Team. Development of this tool began shortly after the Xbox 360 release of GTA IV. The first public version was released on December 28, 2008.
