Google, as of now, cannot open w/out saving. As a workaround, I use IE Tab from the Chrome Store. It is an extension that runs IE - which does allow opening w/ out saving- inside of the Chrome browser application. Not the best solution, but it's an effective "patch" for now.
6 maj 2011 · I just installed Google Chrome and now there is no program associated with the .lnk filetype. I tried IE8 and a couple of others, but when I click any of my desktop short cut icons they turn into the newly associated program icon, so they all look alike!
