2 1/4 - 4.5 UNC : Basic Thread Dimensions (Pitch, minor & major diameters, depth, lead), Tolerance range for all applicable classes and much more
Below 1/4″ the diameters are given by a series of numbers from #0 to #12. Each “number” describes an arbitrary diameter as shown in the below table. It is also allowed to denote the diameters with a decimal value. For example 0.250 (1/4″), 0.4375 (7/16″), etc. By default, the pitch is given in TPI.
Thread pitch chart for UNC, UNF, UNEF and UN up to 2 inch according to ASME B1.1.
25 lip 2023 · In this blog post, an experienced mechanical engineer demystifies thread pitch and explains how to decipher the code. With clear examples and helpful charts, you’ll learn the difference between metric and imperial thread standards and gain practical tips for avoiding costly mistakes.
Thread series cover designations of diameter/pitch combinations that are measured by the number of threads per inch (TPI) applied to a single diameter. Coarse Thread Series (UNC/UNRC) is the most common designation for general application bolts and nuts.
