23 wrz 2022 · The Onkyo TX-NR6050 and Denon AVR-S760H are both strong contenders for the title of best 7.2 channel receiver under $500. These modern receivers combine high video and sound quality with robust smart features and user-friendly controls, checking all the boxes most look for in an A/V receiver.
The Denon seems to be muddy, whereas Onkyo has a clearer sound, which makes movie dialogues much better. I also have an Onkyo TX-NR7100 which is better than the NR6050 (especially room correction), albeit almost double in price and the sound is comparable.

I wonder if you could upload the 6100 firmware to the 6050 and it would unlock the 10 extra watts of power and the THX Certification... They both draw 635 Watts and the rear and front panels are identical. TX-NR6050 (Costco)
They are exactly right. The 6050 is a Costco exclusive model that is essentially the same AVR. Even if there was a 10W difference, 10W is not enough for you to ever notice a difference. This is a common practice for Costco. Walk into a Costco, and you will see a Sony TV with the model name: X90 C K.
