Summer Visual Art Academy is an intensive visual arts program for students from grades 6–12. Our faculty of professional Alaskan visual artists will teach classes in Cartooning, Ceramics, Craft of Sewing, Digital Design, Drawing and Design, Metalsmithing, Painting/Mixed Media, Photography, and Printmaking.
A Visual Art Academy student works on cartoons. The University of Alaska Fairbanks Art Department in collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts will host the 19th annual Summer Visual Art Academy, an intensive visual arts program for students from grades 6–12.
UAF students can register to the courses through the UAOnline website and the Registrar’s Office (Eielson Building 1st floor). Most Art Department courses have prerequisites and/or require permission from instructors so please refer to the UAF current course listings for this information.
