8 wrz 2011 · A replacement Onan muffler from ppl costs over $200- not a popular option! I'm thinking that I can just find a small muffler at a reasonable price and stick 'er on there. Space is not an issue, I can pretty much fit whatever I want in there.

3 sie 2018 · I have an Onan 5500 and I bought the Onan 0155-2449 exhaust resonator from rvupgrades and had my local muffler shop weld it onto the exhaust tube. It doesn't make it night and day difference but it takes the pop out of the exhaust noise.
4 kwi 2024 · qd3200 onan exhaust modification. I own a 2023 Tiffin Wayfarer. The generator is on the driver side under the slide out, the exhaust pipe sticks out under the slide out (very poor design) when I start the generator and let it run the fumes come into the coach. I do have an exhaust extension the goes up even with the roof.
4 mar 2021 · What if you slip a long pipe over the exhaust to see if it gets quieter? Or if you have a 200cc dirt bike that you could take the muffler off it to try on the generator. I think BehindBars is right, vibrations or other generator sounds might be part of the problem too.
