4 kwi 2024 · One of the first modifications was routing the generator exhaust out the back of the RV. No windows on the back. I swiveled the original exhaust pipe to point towards the rear and added about three feet.
3 sie 2018 · I have an Onan 5500 and I bought the Onan 0155-2449 exhaust resonator from rvupgrades and had my local muffler shop weld it onto the exhaust tube. It doesn't make it night and day difference but it takes the pop out of the exhaust noise.

26 sie 2024 · The outlet part of the muffler used to be a 1inch dia pipe extending down 1/2 inch where you would clamp the exhaust pipe with a C-clamp over the muffler pipe. As you'll see from the picture (the picture is the exhaust of my muffler where the exhaust pipe use to attach), it's very rusted.
Load the generator by plugging in a ceramic-type portable electric heater (approx. 1KW). When the outside temperature is above 65F, use the roof air conditioner to load the generator. Allow the generator to run under load for 20-25 minutes.
