30 sty 2024 · VF-1 is exclusively for the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17mm F2.8 lens. Electronic Viewfinder cannot be used with an accessory mounted on the hot shoe. Viewfinders cannot be mounted on the camera because there is no accessory port. Please update the firmware version of the camera.
9 maj 2013 · Can the VF-2, suggested for use on the XZ-1, also be fully usable, and functional on the Oly E-PL2 as well? I currently have both cameras and would like NOT to have to purchase 2 EVFs. The LCD on one XZ-1 seems a bit more usable and reliable under sunny conditions, than that on my E-PL2.

12 wrz 2011 · The VF-2's image magnification is 1.15x versus the VF-3's 1.00x, and the VF-2 has a slightly longer eyepoint of 18mm versus 17.4mm on the VF-3. In other words, the larger, older VF-2 has higher resolution, a bigger image and can be used with the eye a little further from the eyepiece.
23 paź 2018 · The VF-2 is an old model that was also suitable for some Leica cameras. Current model is the VF-4.
15 mar 2023 · The Leica M (Typ 240) and M Monochrom (Typ 246) have adapters for an EVF by means of an electronic interface below the hot shoe. If you need an EVF for one of these cameras, you can use the Olympus VF-2 instead of the Leica EVF-2. It costs less than half the price on the second-hand market, under €200, compared with over €300 in March 2023.
The subsequent VF-3 model has lower resolution (920K instead of 1440K) and was introduced mainly to provide a less expensive choice. The Panasonic EVF, available for their line of MFT cameras, is also said to be of lesser quality. So the VF-2 it is, despite the £179 price tag.
