30 sty 2024 · Viewfinder. VF-1 is exclusively for the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17mm F2.8 lens. Electronic Viewfinder cannot be used with an accessory mounted on the hot shoe. Viewfinders cannot be mounted on the camera because there is no accessory port. Please update the firmware version of the camera.
9 maj 2013 · Can the VF-2, suggested for use on the XZ-1, also be fully usable, and functional on the Oly E-PL2 as well? I currently have both cameras and would like NOT to have to purchase 2 EVFs. The LCD on one XZ-1 seems a bit more usable and reliable under sunny conditions, than that on my E-PL2.
23 paź 2018 · The VF-2 is an old model that was also suitable for some Leica cameras. Current model is the VF-4.

Photographers upgrading to the OM-D E-M5, which looks to be an incredible camera, no longer have the same need for the VF-2 (though it still has the advantage of tilting). Though so far it has held its value on the secondary market, I predict some bargains may be found, especially as part of bundles with older model bodies.
The VF-2 refreshes quickly to minimize image ghosting on fast-moving subjects. Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) technology enables high-speed transfer of high-resolution images. Aspherical lenses ensure high resolution from center to edge.
The engineers at Olympus seem to think so too. For their latest well-heeled compact, the XZ-1 with f/1.8 zoom, they included an accessory shoe that accommodates the VF-2 Electronic Viewfinder (that also works on most of the PEN cameras.)
