The R.E. Olds Transportation Museum is named for Ransom E. Olds, founder of Oldsmobile and REO, and is located in Lansing, Michigan. It is one of the top-rated automotive museums in the United States.
The Museum is home to thousands of unique, irreplaceable items along with over 80 vehicles that range from 1886 through 2004. You’re guaranteed to find something that triggers a memory, puts a smile on your face, or leaves you in awe.
The museum’s building is accessible to visitors with limited mobility, including our restrooms. There is no automatic entry door, so please let us know of your arrival so we may assist you. Two adult wheelchairs are available on request.
The RE Olds Transportation Museum is an automotive gem in the city of Lansing. Some of the rarest vehicles around are on display with excellent signage, a beautiful presentation format, good lighting and some exhibits even have mannequins dressed in period clothing!

The very first Oldsmobile, built in 1897, is on display along with antique REOs, Stars, automotive advertising, memorabilia and an exhibit dedicated to First-Responders. The gift shop has diverse auto-related items.
