I've lived in my house which is a new construction for 7 years, Google street view still shows an overgrown abandoned lot that existed before. We've gotten deliveries to the currently abandoned house next door that has visible signs for no trespassing and completely boarded up.
I looked up older street views of my house today with the intention seeing how much some trees I planted have grown. There used to be over a dozen street view images available, going back about 10 years. But now, only one image is available, taken a few months ago.
The google street view picture of my house has a car in the driveway that my parents got rid of in like 2007. Most of them are from 2018, but some are from last year. I live in Tampere, the street view pictures are ancient, 2009. It’s a great nostalgia trip to explore downtown in Street View.
My parents house still looks the same, but all the trees on the street seem to have disappeared. :( Unfortunately, it's a result of being in a hurricane area. I am pleased, however, to see that my old house now has a street view.
2 wrz 2024 · If you're using Google Maps, you can view Street View images from previous dates easily in your web browser. If you want to see historical maps and satellite images, you can download Google Earth Pro, which is free for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
The Street View of my house is available as early as December 2007. But if Google didn’t drive by until 2013, that’s the earliest you’ll be able to see.
Google has been updating street view over the years, and you can switch to older photos that they've taken. It's cool. When you're in street view there's a little clock icon in the upper left hand corner that will let you change it.
