You can use a Hunter Potion for (+3) boost to build a house 3 levels ahead. It's worth it unless you're dirt broke. Runs at early levels yield 2-4 nests. Each one is worth a minimum of 3.4k, with seed nests adding an additional 10k of value on average, and rings adding maybe 1-2k. A run takes 2 minutes.
