9 cze 2017 · I've got an old iMac (mid-2010 model) but I don't want to use it directly. I appreciate its display and audio so it sounds good if it can be turned into a simple monitor. My primary Windows 10 PC is capable of outputting video through HDMI and Mini DisplayPort.
28 paź 2024 · How to Install / Bootcamp Windows 10 on a mid-2011 iMac using USB. Apple has released support for bootcamping Windows 10, but only on 2012 Macs and later. Despite not being supported. it is possible to install Windows 10 on earlier iMacs and it seems to run quite well.
10 wrz 2017 · You need the following to use Target Display Mode: A Mac notebook or desktop with a Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt port. If your Mac has Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, you can connect it using the Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter.
Used Bootcamp to format my USB and create a bootable USB. (instead of using a disk) Ran into ERROR-" No bootable device" (see footnotes for error details and my solution). Fixed the error and got to the installation process. Ran into a different ERROR-" Windows Cannot be Installed to This Disk.
25 gru 2022 · Unfortunately if you try to install Windows 10 in EFI mode in a 2011 iMac, you will face random reboots, Cirrus Logic Audio not working (internal speakers) and possibly video problems...
6 paź 2021 · USB ports get passed to the USB driver in Windows, and it works properly. The Ethernet/TB ports require other drivers. If the hardware on the PC cannot understand encapsulated TB protocol(s) over PCIe or a USB-bridge, you may have an issue.
