I’ve since seen a lot about undercover tourist, and it appears a lot of people purchase from there to save money. I was going to cancel my package and switch to room-rate only until I saw several negative reviews from people receiving expired tickets etc which has me second-guessing them.

I complained to the hotel and was advised that they could only honor the reservation, but that reservations.com was the one charging the fee and they did not charge a convenience fee-- that was an additional fee that went into reservation.com pocket.
