3 lip 2016 · Took it to a reputable Audi/VW shop near me for diagnosis and I was informed that my car is leaking oil from the camshaft cover on top of the motor. This oil trickles down and unfortunately causes the water pump seal to swell, which can sometimes damage the pump and create the mess that I have.
27 mar 2015 · I have an appointment for service to look at an oil seepage/leak on the front right side of the engine cover near what I think is the water pump. The oil sell is noticeable when idling and the car is hot. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

21 paź 2019 · My last service I told them the car has been loosing oil. Oil light comes on about every 6 to 8 weeks. They came back and said the Cam Cover is leaking and it is starting to leak oil onto the coolant pump which will cause the coolant pump to fail. They quoted me $1,800 to fix it.

When I picked it up I received a letter stating that the cam carrier is leaking oil on both sides. They estimated this to be around $3300 to get fixed.
