15 kwi 2019 · I have a 2008 XC with a 2.5T. I have an oil leak which seems to be coming from the top or side of the block. The angle gear is oily, the rear half of the transmission is too. This area of the engine was smudged with oil (pic was taken after cleaning). The area that was oily is marked in red.
31 paź 2019 · From what I can tell, there are 2 cam seals and 1 crank front seal. It looks like the front crank seal is fine but the cam seal may leaking. The area around the turbo is dry and so is the turbo return oil. With 160,000 miles on it, I will replace all 3 seals up front.
This repair was performed exactly per Volvo TSB. These Cam pulley plugs are a common oil leak point.
3 lip 2016 · Took it to a reputable Audi/VW shop near me for diagnosis and I was informed that my car is leaking oil from the camshaft cover on top of the motor. This oil trickles down and unfortunately causes the water pump seal to swell, which can sometimes damage the pump and create the mess that I have.
Hi Audi community! Just had my 2014 Q5 serviced at 80k miles and they discovered an oil leak from the camshaft cradle. They've quoted me $3,500 for the reseal. This seems steep—has anyone else had this issue? What did it cost you? I'm attaching a picture of the service report for more details.
1 gru 2019 · Part was 116 at Autozone or you can order one at orilleys for around 25. so it appears it was the variable valve timing oil control valve, exhaust side. On a side note, the motor has so much blow by now, it might be causing it to spring new leaks in the oil system.
28 sie 2017 · I have an engine oil leak, it started off as a small leak only when the engine was doing high rpm and its not leaking when the engine is off so its a high pressure issue. The leak has progressively got worse.
