CE Requirements. Pharmacists are required to complete 30 hours of CE per renewal period (every two years) (see Business and Professions Code section 4231). Advance Practice Pharmacists are required to complete 10 additional hours of CE per renewal period (every two years), for a total of 40 hours of CE.

According to the California Code of Regulations, CAPE is required to review (audit) at least 1 course per 2 years offered by each provider to determine compliance with the Standard of Practice and the requirements of the California State Board of Pharmacy.
