He calls believers to develop a new and improved attitude that considers trials from God’s perspective. James wants believers to know to expect “trials of various kinds” (James 1:2) in the Christian life.

9 wrz 2024 · What James 1:2-4 is telling us is that God’s desire is that we would be mature and complete. But the only way to get there is through trials and hardships. When we remove God from his place and instead worship the gifts he gives we can lose sight of what God is doing.
James 1:2-4. Count it all joy — That is, matter of the greatest joy; when ye fall into divers temptations — Πειρασμοις, trials; for though rendered temptations, it does not signify here what is commonly meant by temptations, for these we are directed to pray against, but it denotes trials by affliction and persecution.
