Today, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is one of the most modern state police agencies in the nation. Using the latest in technology, the OHP continues to protect and serve the citizens of Oklahoma. The majority of the members are assigned to the thirteen field Troops, A though M and the turnpike Troops, X and Y.
OSU-OKC is partnering with Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) to offer advanced standing college credit for OHP recruits who have successfully completed the OHP training academy.
7 lip 2022 · The Oklahoma Highway Patrol academy is 20 weeks in length. Cadets reside at the academy, located at the Robert R. Lester Training Center, 3600 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. in Oklahoma City, for the duration of the academy.
26 lip 2021 · Oklahomans that already have an in-state driver’s license are eligible to visit the mega-center to renew their licenses and opt for a new REAL ID. Those that are receiving their first license or do not currently have an Oklahoma license will still need to visit a DPS location.
OHP has patrol jurisdiction over all state highways and waterways in Oklahoma, regulating motor vehicles, regulating explosive devices, and providing protection for the Governor of Oklahoma, the Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma and members of the Oklahoma Legislature.
