20 cze 2016 · Say you only had 220 ohm resistors available, how much current would flow? (Vs - Vf)/resistor = current (5V - 2.2V)/220 = .0127A, 12.7mA And .0127 * .0127 * 220 ohm = 35.4mW. Does that help?
29 paź 2017 · One of the often overlooked qualities of a 1/2 watt resistor over a 1/4 watt resistor is durability. This i think boils down to more strength in the leads for 1/2 watt units. This is the same for using 1/4 watt over 1/8 watt.
