Oglethorpe’s intramural and recreational programs offer all students the opportunity to enjoy the fun and participation of team sports and outdoor activities. Intramural athletics are popular with both men and women, and all students are welcome to participate.

OU athletes face fierce competition in the Southern Athletic Association, squaring off against opponents from Berry College, Birmingham-Southern, Centre College, Hendrix College, Millsaps College, Rhodes College, and Sewanee: University of the South. While the conference typically awards a fall and a spring academic honor roll, with athletes needing a 3.25 GPA during the semester in which their team primarily competed, all SAA competition occurred during the spring semester in 2021.
