It is the second busiest rail station in Chicago, after nearby Union Station, the sixth-busiest railway station in North America, and the third-busiest station (after Grand Central Terminal and Jamaica station in New York City) that exclusively serves commuter traffic.
Ogilvie: More than a train station. It is the terminus for all three of Metra’s Union Pacific lines and in pre-COVID days served over 100,000 riders daily. It remains one of the nation’s busiest railway stations dedicated solely to commuter traffic.
