19 lis 2020 · The EU Offshore Renewable Energy Strategy will shape the development of offshore wind in Europe for the next 30 years. It sees offshore wind in the EU growing from 12 GW today to 60 GW by 2030 and 300 GW by 2050. The European wind industry stands ready to deliver on this expansion.
23 sty 2024 · The plans give visibility to offshore wind developers, investors and the grid equipment supply chain on what offshore grids to expect for each European sea basin by 2030, 2040 and 2050. They’re key to better coordinating the expansion of offshore wind between countries and accelerating its deployment.
The European Commission expects the EU to produce at least 240 gigawatts (GW) of global offshore wind power capacity by 2050, while international organisations specialising in the energy field are even more optimistic about the prospects of this energy source.
How will offshore wind help Europe go carbon-neutral? This report, provided by WindEurope, shows that it is feasible to deploy 450 GW offshore wind by 2050. It identifies the challenges involved in marine space, grids and supply chain, making recommendations on how policymakers can help tackle them.
The deployment of offshore wind energy is at the core of delivering the European Green Deal and ensuring Europe’s competitiveness and security of energy supply. The installed offshore wind capacity in the EU was 19.38 GW in 2023.
20 maj 2021 · The Polish support scheme is going to allow to establish offshore windfarms with a power output up to 11 GW until 2040. The farms will generate nearly 20% of electrical energy in our country.
