8 lut 2002 · Today I installed the Ocelot Exhaust I bought from the Fiero Store. The install went OK. I am using Rodney Dickmans Cat removal pipe and the Ocelot tips. Problem #1 The Cat pipe is 2 1/4" Ocelot is 2.0". Solution: took Ocelt pipe to local shop had it pressed out to 2 1/4".
27 lut 2007 · Dual inlet 2.5" muffler with single 3" out, into a 2.5" pipe dumping out behind the pass wheel. Robert with TM headers gave me high marks for this setup, its simple and retains good backpressure for the 5.0L Explorer computer. My BII is pretty much the same but with a 3" pipe out the back.
9 mar 2008 · Difference in 5.0 Exhaust Setup (with picture) why is there different exhaust for a 96 versus a 98 explorer 5.0??? and can they be interchanged, maybe with some modifications??? The flange after the cats is different. The 96-97s have a flange connection and the 98+ have slip joints.
15 lut 2023 · Hey, I happened across a parts car that has an ocelot exhaust system. It's on a 4 cyl car. I looked at the Fierostore website, and they list different part #'s for 4 or 6 cyl. They look identical and even have the same description, with both using 2" pipe.
11 wrz 2024 · Trying to keep the 5.0 swap as stock as possible in my EB which means I want to use the O2 sensors and CATs without deleting them and having to reprogram the PCM. Below is a stock diagram. What I'm interested in using is the the left and right cat pipes from my stock explorer manifolds.

On a 5.0 (Explorer or Mustang) you need at least dual 2.5 inch piping to exhaust the gasses faster, dual 2 1/4 is better suited to the ohv and sohc V6. All the guys where I live that have duals on their 5.0 Explorers are running at least 2.5 inch pipes and some have 3" pipes - do that and you'll see the gains and mileage improvement.
