10 lip 2022 · Just re-downloaded oblivion and every time I try and start the game it doesn't get to the launch menu. I tried going into the game files to start it but I can't get past the launcher. Any help would be appreciated.
11 kwi 2021 · Oblivion not starting is almost always a registry issue. When you have Oblivion uninstalled run something like CCleaner to wipe out the registry entries. Once that is done which will take a couple of minutes then you can reinstall and should have much better luck. The better option is to launch Oblivion through a mod launcher, I like to use ...
If someone has the same problem: I solved it by copying the OBSE folder from MenuQue from the MO2 folder to the installation directory, ran Oblivion once and confirmed that it works now, then copied the OBSE folder back. It worked from then on.

I have ~10 years old GOTY edition of Oblivion. It installed without any issues - both main game and expansions. The game runs for me, but I can't change any graphics settings. When I wish to enter Optins from the launcher, I receive information that the Oblivion.ini file is missing.
