10 lip 2022 · Just re-downloaded oblivion and every time I try and start the game it doesn't get to the launch menu. I tried going into the game files to start it but I can't get past the launcher.
21 sie 2015 · The folder you are looking for does not exist. Windows 10's start menu uses a Microsoft proprietary database, there is no folder. When you click "All Programs" in the start menu, Windows shows all programs listed in it's start menu database.
30 mar 2018 · You can get the startup folder back on the start menu easily. 1. Make a shortcut on your desktop for this: %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup 2. Right click on that shortcut and choose "pin to start"
AFAIK it should be created at the moment when I launch the game. But for some reason I can't find it anywhere. Also: there is no "Oblivion" folder in My Documents\My Games, though it appears in Users\MyUserName\AppData\Local - but still without Oblivion.ini. Any suggestions to solve this?
What I've tried to do was running the game as administrator, running it in compatibility mode for Windows 7 (both launcher's and game's exe) and installing DirectX 9 which refused to install on Windows 10. Also I tried to find solutions on the Internet but I couldn't find anything recent.
27 sie 2015 · For these few programs that refuse to appear in the start menu "All Apps" section, the "pin to start" option creates a shortcut in C:\ User\[your name] \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs but does not make it appear in the start menu at all.
11 sie 2015 · Apply the solution of hiding and un-hiding (in properties > hidden/unhidden > "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files") of the folder start menu in %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu; Restart your machine; The new shortcuts should be visible in your startmenu.
