10 kwi 2011 · Run oblivion by running obse_loader.exe from the Oblivion directory. If you use a desktop shortcut to launch Oblivion normally, just update the shortcut to point to obse_loader.exe instead of oblivion.exe.
26 mar 2022 · Whenever I run obse however, it gives me the error message "obse couldnt not find oblivion.exe, please use obse in the same folder as oblivion.exe", but they are absolutely in the same folder already. I've used the script extender for Fallout 3 and New Vegas and they have worked just fine so far since the fist try. Can anybody help out here?

I am trying to install various mods but almost all require OBSE and when I try to run obse it just says it cannot find oblivion.exe when it's definitely in the same folder... i have tried multiple versions of obse.

Download Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) to the Oblivion folder; Extract it there. (It will add a folder containing the OBSE files.) Copy the following up into the Oblivion folder: "obse_1_2_416.dll", "obse_editor_1_2.dll", and "obse_loader.exe." If you use the Steam version, move "obse_steam_loader.dll" as well.
Open a command prompt window, navigate to your oblivion install folder, and type "obse_loader -editor". The normal editor can open plugins with these extended scripts fine, it just can't recompile them and will give errors if you try.
