7 mar 2020 · I've been trying for hours to play oblivion. i downloaded yesterday and started up the game. i tried creating a save file so the oblivion documents folder was created to mod the game. the folder was not created. i then spent the next 6 hours scouring the internet to find a solution.
I have ~10 years old GOTY edition of Oblivion. It installed without any issues - both main game and expansions. The game runs for me, but I can't change any graphics settings. When I wish to enter Optins from the launcher, I receive information that the Oblivion.ini file is missing.
Whenever I try to change any graphics setting in the launcher, it just returns to the medium preset (It doesn't recognize my descrete graphics card, so it sets meduim graphics and 640:480 resolution as a default. I have a laptop btw).
6 sie 2012 · Go to My Documents/MyGames/Oblivion/ folder, find and delete Oblivion.ini, it will reset all graphics options on next startup, might fix any janky.
2 lut 2022 · I am trying to install various mods but almost all require OBSE and when I try to run obse it just says it cannot find oblivion.exe when it's definitely in the same folder... i have tried multiple versions of obse.
16 cze 2017 · Windows 10 is pretty new compared to Oblivion, so it may be an issue with newer versions of DirectX not supporting the outdated version that Oblivion uses. If rolling back your system works, you can stop there if you want and either turn off automatic windows updates or figure out which exact update is the problem and ignore it in Windows ...
