7 wrz 2017 · I've run the game multiple times, changed the graphics settings, and is all working normally, but it still does not appear in the folder. There is the oblivion_default.ini, but I don't want to mess with that. I have verifired the local files through steam.
I have tried copying Oblivion_default.ini into MyGames/Oblivion folder, renaming it to Oblivion.ini and changing resolution there, but the game didn't seem to read the file and it nothing changed. And there's another major problem: I can't save my game.
CTD on Startup usually indicates a missing master or a bad Oblivion.ini setting. Whenever troubleshooting crashes, try regenerating a fresh Oblivion.ini. Reinstalling Oblivion will not overwrite an existing Oblivion.ini, so clear it out along with the My Games\Oblivion folder for a clean sweep.

Check the Running Environment[edit] Delete the Oblivion.ini file (in the My Games Oblivion folder) if it exists, in order to make sure all settings are reset. Launch the game. A new fresh, v1.2.0416, version of the Oblivion.ini is generated upon launch.

I've unselected "hide extensions for know file types" in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion folder, and searched for it in my whole C: drive to no avail.
