1 mar 2009 · DO NOT delete the Oblivion.exe or the Oblivion folder as that will cause problems when you try to uninstall or reinstall - allow the game uninstaller to take care of it. Uninstalling Oblivion - you gotta remove it completely before you can reinstall it.

10 lis 2023 · Make sure you delete the entire Oblivion folder from "Documents". It's under "my games," I believe. If your .ini files from a past install are leftover, and had changes meant for some mod, it'll make your game crash on launch and do other weird stuff.
25 sty 2013 · Right-Click Oblivion in your steam list, select properties, go to local files tab. Press verify integrity of game cache. Wait till this has run through and downloaded the missing files. Use this if not even the launcher appears or if you get "game not available" messages.
Delete the Oblivion.ini and renderinfo.txt from the My Games Oblivion folder. In the Oblivion folder, delete all files starting with "obse_" and the OBSE "src" folder. In the Data folder, delete all but any of the following (original) files and folders:

20 lis 2018 · The simplest way is to delete the Oblivion folder completely. The new install will re create the folder for you. This is especially important if you are installing to a new location on Vista and Win7.
