23 cze 2013 · I have recently bought Oblivion GOTY from steam but I couldn't find the data folder when i tried to install mods. There is no data folder in my program files or in my steam files. The game is installed and works perfectly.
When the game loads, it first checks the data folder for meshes and textures and loads them, if a file for a mesh or texture is not found in the data folder, then it's default file located within a .bsa is loaded instead.
use Windows Explorer. expand My Computer. expand Local Disk C. expand Program Files. expand Bethesda Softworks. expand Oblivion. here you will find Data folder.
31 gru 2021 · For this I use Oblivion Mod Manager or OBMM. To install mods there, find the OBMM folder on your computer and find the folder labeled Mods (iirc) and then drop the archive in there. Then, when you go to your OBMM you will see the mod, labeled with a red mark to show its not installed.
27 gru 2013 · I know it's normally located in programfiles/bethesda/oblivion/data or something like that but I can't find any folders containing the data files. I have no folders that relate to Bethesda or 2k gaming and the only folder I have just contains the saves.
There is a soft cap of 300-400 total BSAs and plugins that can be installed in your data folder (before Oblivion starts acting "funny.") CTD on Startup usually indicates a missing master or a bad Oblivion.ini setting. Whenever troubleshooting crashes, try regenerating a fresh Oblivion.ini.
