7 mar 2020 · You might have to add Oblivion.exe to whatever whiletlisting mechanism is required so it can modify your My Documents folder. I have already whitelisted oblivion and oblivion launcher as well as steam
Open your steam client > settings > downloads > steam library folders > add library folder > navigate to a different drive, or place outside of Program Files > create a new folder > hit select > right click the new library folder and make it your default folder.

Steam only installs to the directory that will be revealed. There will be a folder in Documents (mine are in Documents/My Games) with save data, and maybe some other stuff, but that isn't the install directory.
You need to specify where your save folder is the oblivion.ini located in Documents\My Games\Oblivion or move your saves to the default location, Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves. At least, that is how it works normally for retail and steam versions.
