10 lip 2022 · might be missing some old libraries that the game needs and may have failed to install. go to folder...\steam\steam\apps\common\oblivion\directx and run dxsetup.exe with admin permission. use repair option if there is one. run game from game folder .exe and NOT from your steam library or an icon. sometimes an error msg appears not hidden by steam.
There is a way to get OBSE to launch properly from what I found. Find launcher_settings.cfg (in the content folder) and open it with notepad. Then you just change the Binary Path line to BinaryPath=obse_loader.exe. From there you just have to use the launcher.exe to get the game going but its been working great for me. 1. Reply. Steam only installs to the directory that will be revealed. There will be a folder in Documents (mine are in Documents/My Games) with save data, and maybe some other stuff, but that isn't the install directory.
I just bought oblivion on Steam and while I can get the launcher to open, the game itself will not load. When i click play, the launcher just closes and then nothing happens. Here's what I've tried so far: Running in compatibility mode. Running in windowed mode. Reinstalling the game. Deleting oblivion.ini.
17 lip 2017 · I have the Oblivion Game of the Year bought from Steam, and have been playing with the Frostcrag Spire DLC. I bought all the upgrades, but now it has disappeared from my map entirely. It is still showing that I have the files, and I checked the integrity of the files from Steam.
23 cze 2013 · I have recently bought Oblivion GOTY from steam but I couldn't find the data folder when i tried to install mods. There is no data folder in my program files or in my steam files. The game is installed and works perfectly.
24 lis 2022 · You have to do it from within Steam so the Steam launcher knows where to look. I believe all you have to do is right click the game on Steam and the option should be visible under ‘properties’. The game files should move over automatically after that.
