7 mar 2020 · I've been trying for hours to play oblivion. i downloaded yesterday and started up the game. i tried creating a save file so the oblivion documents folder was created to mod the game. the folder was not created. i then spent the next 6 hours scouring the internet to find a solution.
Steam only installs to the directory that will be revealed. There will be a folder in Documents (mine are in Documents/My Games) with save data, and maybe some other stuff, but that isn't the install directory.
A solution someone said worked was to disable OneDrive sync for oblivion and to make sure your saves are in the default save location, [C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves], and make sure the .ini reflects that.
When I search in the steam store, regular non-GOTY Oblivion doesn't even show up, and none of the ones I click on say they are in my library. I'm so confused, I for sure purchased this game. Did Steam remove regular Oblivion?
Hi Im trying to do some modding and need to find the save game directory or folder for oblivion. Im currently using the steam copy. Anyone know where it is? Thanks
I downloaded OBMM but says I need to choose Oblivion's Installation Directory to install it to. I've no idea where this is with Steam, can anyone help out? Thanks.
Every attempt I've made to start Oblivion, including going into my computer's files and clicking the launcher there, just makes the store pop up and reload the game's page. I've rebooted my computer twice and logged out and back into steam an extra time and still getting the same result.
