I tried just copying and pasting the oblivion folder and restarting steam but that didn't work. It just created another folder in c:/programfiles (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common, and none of my mods showed up on the data files when I ran the game.
Steam only installs to the directory that will be revealed. There will be a folder in Documents (mine are in Documents/My Games) with save data, and maybe some other stuff, but that isn't the install directory.

Go to the Account tab. Select Choose folders. In the Sync your OneDrive files to this PC dialog box, uncheck any folders you don't want to sync to your computer and select OK.
Your saved games are located in your C:\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion directory.
20 maj 2021 · You can absolutely move your install folder via steam. Right click the game from your steam library > Properties > Local Files > Move install folder. You can also set up your Steam Library Folders to be off of the C drive, which is absolutely recommended for anything related to modding right at the beginning.
5 sty 2011 · I use a non-steam version and I try to install the mod manager into C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion where the .exe file is but it says it is denied. Can someone please help. Link to comment
