7 mar 2020 · I've been trying for hours to play oblivion. i downloaded yesterday and started up the game. i tried creating a save file so the oblivion documents folder was created to mod the game. the folder was not created. i then spent the next 6 hours scouring the internet to find a solution.
2 sie 2014 · I've recently uninstalled and I want to reinstall the game outside of program files but steam does not allow me to place it in another folder or perhaps I am just missing the browse button. All that comes up is a location in my program files and my external hardrive.
The launcher uses its registry entry, so by changing the location of your game directory or it's name would lead to the error. The only way to fix it without changing back the file's name or location is to edit the registry entry of the launcher with regedit but am not sure how to do so.

A solution someone said worked was to disable OneDrive sync for oblivion and to make sure your saves are in the default save location, [C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves], and make sure the .ini reflects that.
11 sty 2015 · 1) You have to download the "Wrye Bash Standalone Executable" and NOT the installer. 2) Unpack it and move the "Mopy" -folder manually to the Oblivion main folder (where the "Oblivion.exe" file is located)
