2 sie 2014 · I've recently uninstalled and I want to reinstall the game outside of program files but steam does not allow me to place it in another folder or perhaps I am just missing the browse button. All that comes up is a location in my program files and my external hardrive.
Steam only installs to the directory that will be revealed. There will be a folder in Documents (mine are in Documents/My Games) with save data, and maybe some other stuff, but that isn't the install directory.
Open your steam client > settings > downloads > steam library folders > add library folder > navigate to a different drive, or place outside of Program Files > create a new folder > hit select > right click the new library folder and make it your default folder.
When I search in the steam store, regular non-GOTY Oblivion doesn't even show up, and none of the ones I click on say they are in my library. I'm so confused, I for sure purchased this game. Did Steam remove regular Oblivion?
