  1. 10 lip 2022 · might be missing some old libraries that the game needs and may have failed to install. go to folder...\steam\steam\apps\common\oblivion\directx and run dxsetup.exe with admin permission. use repair option if there is one. run game from game folder .exe and NOT from your steam library or an icon. sometimes an error msg appears not hidden by steam.

  2. 11 kwi 2021 · Oblivion not starting is almost always a registry issue. When you have Oblivion uninstalled run something like CCleaner to wipe out the registry entries. Once that is done which will take a couple of minutes then you can reinstall and should have much better luck.

  3. 17 maj 2022 · According to the generated OBSE log file, I am getting a message that says " Oblivion Reloaded failed...unable to load, missing dependent .dll file(s). This, despite the fact that the correct Oblivion Reloaded .dll file is indeed present in the Plugins folder of OBSE.

  4. The game runs for me, but I can't change any graphics settings. When I wish to enter Optins from the launcher, I receive information that the Oblivion.ini file is missing. AFAIK it should be created at the moment when I launch the game. But for some reason I can't find it anywhere.

  5. 10 lip 2022 · Found out automatic video hardware detection failed and set my defaulted settings to medium quality (creating oblivion.ini). Changed it manualy in the options on the launcher menu to high quality and problem fixed.

  7. 24 wrz 2022 · I just bought oblivion on Steam and while I can get the launcher to open, the game itself will not load. When i click play, the launcher just closes and then nothing happens. Here's what I've tried so far: Running in compatibility mode. Running in windowed mode.
