10 lip 2022 · Just re-downloaded oblivion and every time I try and start the game it doesn't get to the launch menu. I tried going into the game files to start it but I can't get past the launcher. Any help would be appreciated.
There is a way to get OBSE to launch properly from what I found. Find launcher_settings.cfg (in the content folder) and open it with notepad. Then you just change the Binary Path line to BinaryPath=obse_loader.exe

4 paź 2022 · This includes removing the game folder, the Oblivion folder in My Games (after backing up the save games you want to keep), and all registry entries for Oblivion and, if applicable, mods and unofficial patches. Incomplete un-installations are among the main reasons why Oblivion refuses to start.
11 kwi 2021 · Oblivion not starting is almost always a registry issue. When you have Oblivion uninstalled run something like CCleaner to wipe out the registry entries. 24 wrz 2022 · I just bought oblivion on Steam and while I can get the launcher to open, the game itself will not load. When i click play, the launcher just closes and then nothing happens. Here's what I've tried so far: Running in compatibility mode. Running in windowed mode.
If The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion fails to launch, go through any installed multimedia programs (DVD writing, Music players, A/V editing) and uninstall any programs that install their own codecs. Once you find the one that lets the game launch, you may then re-install the other programs once again.
