I am trying to install various mods but almost all require OBSE and when I try to run obse it just says it cannot find oblivion.exe when it's definitely in the same folder... i have tried multiple versions of obse.

26 mar 2022 · Posted March 26, 2022. I can think of some problems which could arise: 1.Running OBSE with shortcut - in shortcut there can be directory mismatch. 2.Some security issue - for some reason access to Oblivion.exe was refused.
20 sie 2024 · Try creating a new folder directly under C: (for example: C:\curseforge\), selecting the 'Advanced' option and setting the new folder you created: "An unexpected error occurred while trying to install Minecraft"
If his crash is when he tries to load a game and not when start starting the game, it’s likely that it’s due to missing or incorrect shaders. This wouldn’t surprise me if OBGE has been installed by Wrye Bash, as it deletes the vanilla shaders. Uninstall OBGE and use Oblivion Reloaded instead.
