10 lip 2022 · Just re-downloaded oblivion and every time I try and start the game it doesn't get to the launch menu. I tried going into the game files to start it but I can't get past the launcher.
The launcher works fine but when I click play it loads for a second, the launcher disappears, and the game never opens. Steam overlay is off, nothing in launch options. I've gone to other posts and tried everything, still nothing.
I just bought oblivion on Steam and while I can get the launcher to open, the game itself will not load. When i click play, the launcher just closes and then nothing happens. Here's what I've tried so far: Running in compatibility mode. Running in windowed mode.
11 kwi 2021 · The game crashes everytime when ever I click play game in the Oblivion launcher. I've tried verifying / repairing the game file, but it doesn't make a difference. Anyone got any ideas what the issue could be?
24 gru 2021 · Within the Oblivion key, add a string value with the name 'Installed Path' and set the value to the path to your Oblivion folder, making sure that the path ends in a backslash (C:\whatever\Oblivion\). You should be able to launch the game now. I've had to do this on every proton install, but it should work on Windows as well.
If The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion fails to launch, go through any installed multimedia programs (DVD writing, Music players, A/V editing) and uninstall any programs that install their own codecs. Once you find the one that lets the game launch, you may then re-install the other programs once again.
27 lip 2015 · Oblivion Won't Start. Anyone else had this problem? I press play for oblivion and the steam window pops up that reads "launching Oblivion" and it goes right back to the launcher. I've installed in three times, a fresh install everytime.
