21 lis 2016 · The obse_loader application is for the retail version. Make sure the Steam Community is enabled, then launch the game normally through Steam. You do not need to use the loader unless you are using the retail version. If it still does not work, try using the obse_steam_loader from version 0017b. #1.
25 gru 2019 · Now from obse_0021.zip, extract obse_1_2_416.dll and obse_editor_1_2.dll to the root directory of the game. (The folder that has Oblivion.exe) Then extract obse_loader.exe from obse_loader.zip --USE THIS WITH GOG VERSION, to the same folder.
3 cze 2020 · You can find more information in you obse.log files directly under the Oblivion folder as that shows what OBSE plugins Oblivion is loading. If there are any errors, they would be located there.
I have copied the 3 .dll files to the installation folder and the OBSE folder to the Data folder with the .ini file inside it. I have Steam overlay active and running properly on the game. I have tried launching both the Oblivion.exe file independently and from within my Steam library.

CTD on Startup usually indicates a missing master or a bad Oblivion.ini setting. Whenever troubleshooting crashes, try regenerating a fresh Oblivion.ini. Reinstalling Oblivion will not overwrite an existing Oblivion.ini, so clear it out along with the My Games\Oblivion folder for a clean sweep.
Reinstall DirectX 9.0c from the Oblivion DVD by following these steps: 1. Browse to the Oblivion DVD. 2. Open the DXREDIST folder on the Oblivion DVD. 3. Double-click the DXSETUP.exe file in that folder to install DirectX.
