I have been playing sims 4 for some time now and i wish to add mods to it, however i find that every mod instructs people to put there files in the mod folder.
Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated.
since any existing mods are there, the Mods subfolder isn't missing. you will however need to find it. by default, the game stores user data in documents > electronic arts > the sims 4. hence the Mods subfolder will be found here.
22 paź 2024 · If so, it may have removed the Mods folder from your system and stored it only in the cloud. Please check your settings, and also look for your data on onedrive.com, both in My Files and the Recycle Bin. If you don't use OneDrive at all, please let me know where Sims 4 is installed.

5 lut 2022 · to use mods, you always need to add them to the user data folder. by default, the game creates this in local Documents, or you might find an Electronic Arts folder in the OneDrive equivalent if you're using that to sync.
