The Data folder is the directory to which mods are installed. After installing Oblivion, you will find in here a few BSAs containing most of the game's resources (i.e., meshes, textures and sound files) as well as some of the default folders: Shaders, Music and Video.
20 lis 2018 · Once you have downloaded the mod, open the archive (.7z, .zip or .rar) with 7zip, and click extract. Extract the files so that the files (esp, bsa, etc.) and the folders (meshes, textures, sounds, etc.) are in the Oblivion data folder (\Games\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data).
BSA files are the resource archive files used by Oblivion. If you're familiar with the Morrowind BSA file format, Oblivion BSA format is similar, but not identical to it (if you're familiar with the generic IFF format, you'll find it very easy to understand --- BSA, ESM/ESP and ESS are IFF variants). 26 kwi 2008 · When somebody refers to the 'Oblivion' Directory they are talking about the folder that has the game and most (but not all) of the subdirectories required to play Oblivion. It is usually located at C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion on an XP system.
Back up your complete Oblivion install directory ( not just the Data folder, since there are folders like Oblivion/obmm that you need) as well as the My Documents/My Games/Oblivion folder which contains your savegames and the Oblivion.ini file.
13 sie 2019 · Whenever the game must search a BSA for a specific file, it will use Archive::ContainsFolder to find the relevant folder entry, and then Archive::FolderContainsFile to find the relevant file entry.
